Noah

Are You Ready For Some Football?!?

When Noah announced that he wanted to play Upward flag football INSTEAD of soccer this fall (we only do one sport at a time!), I could hardly believe it.  I wasn’t sure how much he would like it and I definitely wasn’t sure if I would like it, but it has been a wonderful experience.  Noah is loving every minute and insisted that we get him a mouth guard and some receiver’s gloves last week so he could look and play like the “real football players”!  Just like other Upward sports we have been involved with installment loans for bad credit at yahoo finance, the emphasis is on learning the game and having fun.  I love that they memorize scripture and have a devotion time at each practice and game. I’ll leave you with just a few pictures (ok, more than a few, but I just love all of these!) that really capture how much Noah is loving this game!  Yesterday his team played a double header and he ran the ball the length of the field for a touchdown and had 4 really great “tackles”!

Pete the Cat Birthday

Have you read any of the Pete the Cat books?  Especially if you have children in your life, but even if you don’t,  you really need to meet Pete the Cat!  His books are so much fun and have been some of Noah’s favorites for several years.  So, after reading the books in Kindergarten and doing all kinds of fun activities at school, it was no surprise that Noah decided he wanted to have a Pete the Cat birthday party.

It turned out to be such a fun theme and we were really able to get creative with it.  Since you can’t just go to Party Galaxy and buy Pete the Cat decorations, I turned to Pinterest.  🙂  I found several fun ideas that I was able to tweak and we ended up with a really cute party (at least Noah & I thought so!).  In Pete’s first book he steps in strawberries, blueberries and mud which turn his shoes all different colors.  One of the first things Noah and I decided was that we would HAVE to serve strawberries, blueberries and chocolate pudding at the party!  We also played “pin the shoes on Pete” and of course, read several of the stories that have made Pete so famous.

Both his friend party at the neighborhood clubhouse and the party we had with family the next day were such a success!  Most importantly, we celebrated 6 amazing years with our sweet, precious boy.  What a blessing!
