Have you read any of the Pete the Cat books? Especially if you have children in your life, but even if you don’t, you really need to meet Pete the Cat! His books are so much fun and have been some of Noah’s favorites for several years. So, after reading the books in Kindergarten and doing all kinds of fun activities at school, it was no surprise that Noah decided he wanted to have a Pete the Cat birthday party.
It turned out to be such a fun theme and we were really able to get creative with it. Since you can’t just go to Party Galaxy and buy Pete the Cat decorations, I turned to Pinterest. :) I found several fun ideas that I was able to tweak and we ended up with a really cute party (at least Noah & I thought so!). In Pete’s first book he steps in strawberries, blueberries and mud which turn his shoes all different colors. One of the first things Noah and I decided was that we would HAVE to serve strawberries, blueberries and chocolate pudding at the party! We also played “pin the shoes on Pete” and of course, read several of the stories that have made Pete so famous.
Both his friend party at the neighborhood clubhouse and the party we had with family the next day were such a success! Most importantly, we celebrated 6 amazing years with our sweet, precious boy. What a blessing!
