While this was Angela’s third or fourth trip, this was my first, and it was everything I’ve been promised. With Baby Lee coming soon, we wanted to make the most out of what will probably be our last big trip for a while (although that remains to be seen ;), so we spent two weeks in the islands.
The trip had a special significance as well. Warren and Dawne (Angela’s parents) celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary at the end of May. Warren had a conference to go to in Hawaii already, so they decided to make it a family affair, and throw in an extra week before the conference. So, Angela and I packed our bags and took off with her parents and her brother for a week of relaxation on Maui, and a week more on Oahu.
Warren, probably from hard-learned experience, had the foresight to make a note each of what we did, where ate, where we went, etc. As soon as I can get that reformatted for web publishing, I’ll post that here for those interested in a blow-by-blow account of what we did. We also have almost 200 pictures from our trip, some of which we’ll post as soon as we find the time. Keep checking back. The pictures won’t disappoint you. 😎
