In church, we used to sing a song that said, “There will be showers of blessing,” and another that said, “Count your many blessings, name them one by one, and it will surprise you what the Lord has done.” How true those songs are. Not only did God answer our prayers for Angela’s job hunt, but He chose today to answer those about selling our house.
Late last night, I got a call from our realtor saying that we had an offer. Angela and I talked, and this morning we made a counter offer. Later today, we got a second offer. Before we could consider that one, though, the first party accepted our counter! Now, assuming that the sale goes through, which we are praying that it will, we can relax and really start to enjoy the blessings God has given us. Sometimes, “when it rains, it pours” can be a good thing. 😎
