I started my new job today. For those of you who don’t know, I recently took a job as a programmer for Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc., and I couldn’t be more excited. HL is trying to modernize its operations, and I get to play a part in that. Apart from being an exciting career move, it will also be a great personal/spiritual move. I am leaving an environment where the job comes first and going to one where family and church are more important. In fact, as you can see on the web site, HL was founded and is run by an overtly Christian family who lets their faith play a major role in how they do business. They even have a full-time, paid chaplain on staff. I’m pretty excited about every aspect of this job. Now if we can get Angela a job and take care of the house situation in Tulsa and OKC, we’ll be set.
