Since almost all of our family will be traveling next weekend, we got together this weekend for an early Father’s Day celebration. As we always do, we shared lots of laughs, good times and all kinds of delicious food. My sweet sister-in-law, Lisa, and I had spotted the cutest idea for a Father’s Day dessert over at Bakerella. We both decided that it looked a little daunting, but thought maybe if we teamed up we could make it work. We were so happy with the result and we received rave reviews from all the dads (and kids, moms and grandmothers too!) The celebration also gave us a great excuse to try out our new Canon Rebel that came in the mail last week. It has lots and lots of settings that we don’t have a clue about, but we’re going to keep learning about it little by little. Here are just a handful of shots from our big Father’s Day shindig. We are so thankful for all the dads in our family. They are the best!!!

That is the cutest idea ever. You are so clever. Of course, your mother and grandmother are the best mothers ever (except for my mother, Aunt Doris!). I hope you had a good father’s day together. I love the picture of my favorite cousin and his two boys!

Of course,Angela and Lisa “made the day” with their “hamburger and french fries” dessert in real-live tubs they also manufactured!
